What is ce certification?
CE certification is a mandatory requirement for certain products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). The CE marking is a symbol that indicates a product meets the essential health, safety, and environmental protection requirements set out in EU regulations.
To obtain CE certification, a product must meet the relevant EU regulations and standards. The CE marking must be affixed to the product, and the manufacturer or authorized representative must issue a declaration of conformity (DoC) that states the product meets the relevant requirements.

The process of obtaining CE certification can be broken down into several steps:
Determine if CE certification is required for your product: CE certification is required for certain products sold within the EEA, including machinery, electrical equipment, toys, medical devices, and personal protective equipment (PPE), among others. You should check the EU regulations to determine if your product requires CE certification.
Identify the applicable EU regulations: Once you have determined that your product requires CE certification, you need to identify the relevant EU regulations that apply to your product. These regulations specify the requirements your product must meet to obtain CE certification.
Conduct product testing: You may need to conduct product testing to ensure that your product meets the requirements set out in the applicable EU regulations. Testing can be performed by a third-party testing laboratory or by the manufacturer.
Prepare technical documentation: You need to prepare technical documentation that demonstrates that your product meets the requirements of the applicable EU regulations. This documentation must be kept on file and made available to the authorities upon request.
Affix the CE marking: Once your product meets the requirements of the applicable EU regulations and you have prepared the necessary technical documentation, you can affix the CE marking to your product.
Issue a declaration of conformity (DoC): You need to issue a DoC that states your product meets the requirements of the applicable EU regulations. The DoC must be kept on file and made available to the authorities upon request.
It’s important to note that CE certification is not a one-time event, but an ongoing process. Manufacturers must ensure that their products continue to meet the requirements of the applicable EU regulations, and they may be subject to periodic audits or inspections by the authorities.
